As a music photographer, I am often presented with stage lighting that presents a bit of a challenge. It comes with the territory and usually my experience and technique will save me, but sometimes I survey the stage plot before a band’s set and go “uh-oh”. Such was the case with the headliners on this night.
Vocalist Tawaine Noah alternated between charmingly self-deprecating and supremely talented throughout his set as his band got the night off on the right foot.
NYC indie folk darlings The Spring Standards performed in support of Wakey Wakey and made a lot of new fans in the process.
