Fresh Head Shots, New Band Photos

It’s been a busy few weeks at the studio, which was a great way to wrap things up in the old space. I moved out this weekend with my sights set on a new studio. It will be a few weeks before it’s ready for prime time, so it’s all tax returns and paperwork right [Continue Reading…]

My friend Larissa has been living in her grandparents’ home for a while now, a midst her grandparents’ possessions and clothes. She expressed to me a while back that she’d like to make some portraits in the home since she felt like she was living in a foreign space, a foreign life even. These are [Continue Reading…]

2015 Wrap Up / Road Trip / All Of The Faces in the Press

A year ago yesterday, I posted a message on Facebook inviting friends to the studio for some improvised portraits.  The intent was to stave off the post-holiday blues by experimenting with some photo ideas, but the ensuing handful of sessions inspired what is easily my most ambitious project ever. Exactly one year later, none other [Continue Reading…]

Nolet's Gin Event

This was a fun event for my friends in the US Bartenders Guild at the newly re-christened Bar Paradigm. It was a cocktail contest featuring ten local mixologists using Nolet’s Gin to wow a thirsty crowd. Beautiful people, delicious drinks, and trick lighting. And I got to enjoy a cocktail when I was done!

Wood Nymphs, Pond Dwellers, Family Portraits

My friend Kelly is one of my best clients and most-photographed subjects.  We are always concocting ideas for shoots and trying to outdo ourselves.  Past experiments involve a bikini made from real bacon, a pinup shoot in the snow, and a whole lot of fluorescent paint.  Every photographer should have such a great pal and [Continue Reading…]

Central Table Rebranding Project

This was a fun, challenging project that took several months to complete. A local food hall underwent a complete overhaul of its menu, branding and interior so I was brought on board by my client to provide fresh visuals for social media and website use. The fun part was combining food and beverage photography with [Continue Reading…]

Candice Ivory Promos

One of the perks of being both a working musician as well as a photographer is that I frequently get to shoot folks that I also play with. In this case, I was called on to do fresh promo photos for the very talented Candice Ivory after drumming on her upcoming album. Candice had strong [Continue Reading…]

A New Project: All Of The Faces

I have decided to photograph all of my Facebook friends. There it is. That’s the project. Seems pretty straightforward. It is, and it isn’t. IMPETUS Over the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve I sequestered myself in the new studio and posted a note on Facebook asking for volunteers to pose for portraits while [Continue Reading…]
