Dec 182010

Each holiday season, a group of St. Louis’ modern rock royalty join forces to pay tribute to Pink Floyd with a run of concerts at The Pageant. The production gets more elaborate every year and the 2010 effort is nothing short of spectacular.

I was invited by El Monstero bassist/mastermind Kevin Gagnepain to photograph not only the live performances, but some of the behind-the-scenes action as well. To prevent giving away some surprises to those attending shows after opening night (there are six shows this year, guaranteed to sell out) I will save the backstage action until later.

This first installment includes photos from the first of their two sets. It was a truly monumental undertaking, this show. I hope the photos do justice to all of the hard work put in by the band and crew.
