Taste of St. Louis, Day 1 Highlights 10.01.2010 – Images by Corey Woodruff
If you’ve followed my work for any length of time, you probably know two things about me: I love photographing musicians in action and I love food. So when Taste of St. Louis contracted me as one of their official event photographers I was thrilled.
The event features live cooking demonstrations, a huge variety of food vendors, an “art and wine” walk, live music on three stages and a lot more. Opening night highlights included flying pizza dough, food to go, and Mofro.
Yes, I rhyme.
One piece of advice, though: don’t attend this event on an empty stomach if you won’t have time to eat. It’s a special kind of torture wandering the festival grounds with booth after booth tempting you with delicious sights and smells. Thankfully, Edith from Onesto Pizza saved my life with a sample of their delicious mozzarella impanata (basically a fried mozzarella stick the size of a Pop Tart).
Ahhhhh. Sustenance.
